Some people will say and say again that they have perfect pitch, and believe so much that they are perfectly in tune... But then they fail to realize that they are 20 cents sharp.
Yeah but I am not one of them. I've been playing guitar, piano, bass, drums, etc for more than 12 years and now I am one of the few musicians that makes music with playing cards. As you can see on my display Bjork has become one of my latests inspirations for Lounge and Ambience music. Ever seen Vespertine concert (Matmos) I recommend it, it's great. But back in topic perfect pitch is just an innate ability. It can't be learned by a book or teacher, it takes time, lots of times... listening to many but many artists and exploring new kinds of sounds and of course, memorizing music itself...

I'm pretty certain thats the Guildwars main theme song. What's with all the weird modifications? If it doesn't sound right you probably haven't got the right timing on it.

I play saxophone...too bad I can't read guitar tabs..

It's damn hard to do something like that with a saxophone...took me nearly 2 hours to get " 7 nation army" right. And even then it sounds wrong on a piano.

The odd thing is my right ear has bad pitch, but my left is near-perfect, just some low tones gets confusing

If any of you guys or gal's use powertabs, i have put the music onto it, hopefully it'll make you easier for you guys to learn it. The timing might not be 100% but its only rough. Enjoy.

Thanks for that, this powertabs program is superb. I might tab out the new Factions theme song some time, which is the song that plays in the current login screen.

Powertab is a tabbing utility that displays tabs in normal music notation too. This helps with the timing. You can also make it play the tab in a midi format, which helps a lot when you're trying to learn the timing of a piece.

Now if they'll put in a utility to slow down the midi track...

Yeah yeah yeah, pretty old topic I know.
But you guys should relly try out Guitar Pro, it's really amazing.
It's a great help while writing songs. And it's very user friendly.
And if you buy it, you get the RSE package, so the playback of the tracks
sounds almost real.

I'm a bass recorder player, and I've downloaded the soundtracks. I've been playing by ear so far, although I got some music writing software. Maybe I could get some of the music down in notation format sometime if anybody would be interested in it

I don't know if anyone else here is a metalhead, but here's a remix, if you will, of my rendition of the Guild Wars theme. Thanks.
